week 11 - Alexandra Macia

Farmers Market:
Aahna Gosh, a freshman government and politics major, spends her spare time on Wednesdays going to the Farmers Market. She will usually go in the morning in hopes of getting a coffee to help fuel her for the day. The Farmers Market occurs weekly every Wednesday at the University of Maryland, attracting many students.

Sonja Neve (left), purchase a bread from the market, and Olivia Delaplaine (right) had purchased fresh vegetables. Both can be smiling with their fresh goodies from the market, as they take time away from school to rest.

Sonja Neve (left), a junior, Olivia Delaplaine (middle), senior government major, Luna Homsi (right), senior Anthropology major, take time out of their day to enjoy the farmers market on Wednesday. All three sat together at a table near the market spending time to talk to one another.

Front Desk Dorm Assistants
Shylee, a junior at the University of Maryland, spends her spare time working at the front desk of Queen Annes Dorm. She helps students receive packages, and get a spare key or swipe if needed. On almost all dorms on campus students are needed to work the front desks. This is a paid position.

Sam Bollonger, a sophomore at the University of Maryland also works the front desk at Queen Annes Hall. He is a favorite amongst students as he makes a point to greet each resident of the building as they walk through the door. Sam says he will sometimes spend any downtime on the job doing homework, but enjoys his position on desk duty.
Ally Ruocco, a freshman undecided major, has just freshly painted her nails after classes in order to prepare for her sorority formal later that evening. While waiting for them to dry she logs on to her computer to watch the Netflix show New Girl.

Julian Perez-Garcia, a sophomore in Writers House, at the University of Maryland spends his past time biking around campus. He keeps his bike outside his dorm, and can be seen chaining it up here so that it does not get stolen overnight.
