The UMD Condom Fashion Show was held in the Stamp Student Union on April 10th, 2019, as a part of UMD Sex Week, in honor of Youth HIV and AIDS Awareness Day.

The event is sponsored by Global Protection ONE Condoms, with the University Health Center and Office of Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy.

Student teams are given condoms to create an outfit, and walk down the runway in their creations.

The University Health Center passed out free condoms to students, and Planned Parenthood gave out stickers and had guests sign to support their organization.

Freshman Jenna Cohen and senior Rachel Greenberg add their new Planned Parenthood and UMD Health Center stickers to their reusable water bottles.

The first condom outfit was created by Triota, a Women's Studies Honor organization on campus. Their pink and blue creation featured wings that their model used to fly down the runway.

This outfit, created by UMD Peer Leaders, featured a tiered dress and a colorful cape.

Payton Mohammed, Condom Fashion Show MC and singer with Mockappella, a parody a cappella group on campus, sang an updated version of "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," by Whitney Houston. Mohammed's version was called "I Wanna Sleep With Somebody."

The Sexual Health Peers outfit was inspired by the African diaspora and the history of black women in America.

The last outfit in the competition featured rose-inspired accessories. The model walked down the runway to "Bloom" by Troye Sivan to celebrate growth in the sexual community.

The final walk featured each outfit from the student organizations. All of the models walked together as a sign of unity, despite the competition among the groups.
