10 Best Photos- Jenna Cohen

I like this photo because the background has a very shallow depth or field with fairly neutral colors, so I feel like it makes her laptop case really standout. I also like how it worked out that she was wearing a Maryland with the same color and logo, making the photo overall very uniform and informative.
I love this photo because this was the first time I started to photograph with the emphasis on emotion. I like how you can understand the situation and the emotions present  before even reading a caption.

I like this photo because this was the first time I ever shot manually in a dark space. It was really tricky for me, as I kept playing around with the settings to get one that was just right. I also like the placement of everything in the photo, how the subject is off to the far side, and then draws your eyes back to the corner and then to the string of lights.

I love this photo because I love golden hour and the warm light that it casts in photos. I also love how the yellow/orange hues from the light bring out the blueness of Alli's eyes, making them really stand out in the photo.

This is one of my favorite photos because it captures both a sunset and silhouettes.  I love how you can see the beams of sun really clearly in this photo, bringing out the little details from the trees and the buildings.

I like this photo because although she has her sunglasses on, I still think it makes for a really great portrait to caption the cherry blossom festival. You can see the Jefferson Memorial in the back, as well as the Tidal Basin and the sea of cherry blossoms surrounding it. I also love the added detail of the cherry blossom in her hair.

I really like this photo simply for the details. The branches have a really visually interesting angle and draws your eyes to the sun's reflection on the Potomac. I also love how you can see the curve of cherry blossom trees and Jefferson in the back.

I love the angles in this photo, particularly the dimensions from the tops of the beautiful brownstones. The sun coming through the tree also defines the picture really well. I feel like this picture allows you to feel as if you're standing on the street where I took it which I think is interesting.

I like this photo because I feel like the angles carry you toward the subject and the street, cars, and houses behind her. Also the golden hour lighting provides a really warm light to the picture.

I love this photo because of the power and intensity you can feel when looking at it. You feel as if she is looking right at you, which I think is really powerful.
