On Sunday afternoon sorority Alpha Omicron Pi and Fraternity Zeta Psi threw an event called "Play Outside With AOII and Zeta Psi" to raise money for their respective philanthropies. They raised a total of $5,000. Students play a game of catch in front of the chapel during the event. Olivia Campbell, Elizabeth Roche, Ella Mitchell, and Caroline Fleetwood hold up their new shirts they received at the event Edible cookie dough was sold to help raise money for the philanthropies, and was offered in 8 different flavors. Students get BBQ, a food that was included in the $5 ticket to attend. Members of Alpha Omicron Pi play corn hole, another activity that was set up at Sunday. In the Catholic Church, Easter is the most important day of the year. The day celebrates the rise of Jesus Christ to life after enduring crucifixion on Good Friday to pay for the sins of humanity. Many parishes undergo days of preparation for this event. At the Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier (CCSFX) in Hunt Valley, MD, volunteers spend days preparing the church for the Easter Sunday Masses. The baptismal font at the front of the church is adorned with flowers to remind Catholics of the washing away of sins that also occurs at baptism. In the Catholic Church, parents choose baptism for their children and it is a sacrament typically performed during infancy. As is proclaimed by the banner, Jesus Christ rises on Easter Sunday. This event is considered proof that God will triumph over Satan, that good will always overcome evil.
